Here at the OBS@Ubin, I’m writing… I had my great fun today. Just now, I went out to sea with my four friends (two of them are currently my BS1 students) on a sailing boat. I learnt something new from there like controlling the sail with the use/help of the wind, tightening/loosening the ropes of the sails. Two of us were practising to sail as they need to master these skills. I was informed that the OBS instructors must know one of the life-saving skills – sailing to save a victim.

Alright, I got to stop here.. I look forward to tomorrow as my group of friends (mostly from XTOMIC) are coming down to do rockwall, kaykaying and games.

Anyway, HAPPY LABOUR DAY to those who work so hard.

Just received an email from Wolverhampton University that I got a place!!! That’s another great news to me!

They told me that they enjoyed watching the music video.. Also, they hope that I can take up their offer to study music!!

WOW!! Can’t imagine this…. HEY, ANTHONY!!! Thanks for helping in making the music video. It’s really great..!!! THANKS VERY MUCH!!!!!

Yesterday was a busy Monday for me. Throughout the whole day, I’m doing everything for my UK studies. Preparing budget, personal statement, IELTS application, sponsorship letter and so on… And now, I’ve to complete what I did yesterday. It seems that I have been working against time. Time flies very fast!! *fainting*

And now, I’m meeting Nora. She will be my study companion for a few days. I’ve to prepare myself for IELTS and Grade 7 – Percussion (practical). Now, it’s time to study and revise…

Last Saturday (16 April 2005), I was asked to join my friends – Eileen, Jorena, Hui Shan & Fern – for playing board games and dinner.. Over there, I had my fun playing different games with them while having sandwiches.

I like that cute card game and it’s called “Galloping Pigs’ Race”. This reminds me of my friend, Handoko whom we called him “PINKY PIG”.. After all, I enjoyed that night very much.. Thanks, Eileen, Fern, Jorena & Hui Shan for making that night enjoyable and fun!!

Last Saturday was our SADeaf’s 50th Anniversary Dinner cum Dance. The dinner was great, and yet the programme went so messy. Alot of problems appeared so obvious. After all, it went well…

From there, what I see is that there was no team coordination among that committee. I guess, when the leader is very stressed, he/she tends to do everything on his/her own. And, he/she may not trust his/her team completely. Just a thought of this…

Just received a letter from University College Northampton that I got a place!!! That’s great! I’m gonna show that letter to Mr. Teow and Sr. Anne (who wanna help sponser my UK studies)!!
But I need to wait for other 4 institutions’ replies. I really hope to have more options.

So, I guess I have to go this year.. I cannot wait to leave Singapore!
When this really happens, I’m gonna miss everything and every of my friends here in Singapore.

*telling myself* Lily, do not think about this! It’s time for me to do some things!! As for my baby XTOMIC, I’m planning to step down as a Chairman. The XTOMIC’s Biannual Election will be taken place at SADeaf on 29 May (Sunday), a day before my birthday. Meanwhile, I need to continue writing to companies for sponserships..

4-5 months to go…!! Time really flies very fast!!! *with pounding heart*

On 2 April 2005, Pope John Paul II passed away at 3.37AM (Singapore Time). Today, he was laid out in the palace after a huge mass in St Peter’s Square and this allowed millions of people to bid their farewell to him.

I still remember that Pope John Paul II visited Singapore in 1986 and at that time, when I was very young, Canossian School for the Hearing Impaired tried to take us out to see him. But we didn’t manage to see him in person.
The year of 1994 arrived and we flew to Italy on our band excursion. During our excursion, we managed to perform for Pope John Paul II. After our performance, he walked towards us and gave us his blessings through his praying. Then, he shook our hands one by one. When I shook his hand, he seemed to be quite feeble. Little wonder, he has his 2 bodyguards between him.

Now, Pope John Paul II was indeed a great loss to the world. But still, we have to move on with life. Alright, let’s have some moments of silence and dignity… *praying*
