Writing at my friend’s place…

Just now, I went for the job interview at AMK near Nanyang Polytechnic. It’s a temporary admin job for 25 days. I managed to get this job to sustain my savings. Not only that, I need to buy the black MacBook soon. *winks*

Will start working next Monday (2 April). Is that too fast?! =)

Meantime, I’m told by Bizlink to wait for her news about other job openings – HSBC & Law firm. Also, I’m still waiting for my friend about the overseas opportunity.

Hope I can be more patient with myself.

Writing my blog here at the SADeaf office..

It’s all because my computer has been dying on me. =(
How do I live without this? So addicted to the high technology like IT, better vibrating clock, etc..
Anyway, I hope that I’m able to buy the laptop (black MacBook) next month. *brimming with hopes*

My percussion exams (Grade 6) was just over last Friday. Now, I started my job search to get through since there is nothing much to do around here. And, I have sought help from the Bizlink. Hope I can get some good news from there soon.
Meantime, I will get some news from my friend who is trying to help me get an overseas opportunity to work with the Deaf community.

Thinking of my friends…
Thanks, Vivian, Eileen, Kenji, Andre & Alex for being there when I’m down. You’re my great pals! =)

On My Own 11 March 2007

Couldn’t sleep… A lot of thoughts fill in my mind. So, I’m here writing my blog…

Since I chose this path of being my own, making my solo break all the way, I realized that I sacrificed a lot of things. True enough, I admit that I’m selfish in some ways. That’s why I lost something important twice.

Friendship is a true gift given from God. But still, friends come and go. I lost these two persons to my selfish goal in becoming a soloist performer and deaf educator. I know that I have hurt them deeply several times and well, I cannot change myself just because of them. I’m sorry!
This’s my life and I’m living for my dreams. Also, I live for myself.

My love life is not smooth-sailing. I still hold on to it till now, I have to let it go. There’s no point to keep him inside my heart since he only regards me as another deafie. It’s one of my assumptions. Anyway, I hope he will find his happiness. *praying for him*

XTOMIC, you all are doing well although I do not hear much from you. Do keep your good work going up.

Again, I have no reasons to live here in Singapore, or to excel myself. Since I decided to work with the deaf community, it’s a time for me to leave here for another better place where I can dream more.
Here in Singapore, the deaf culture in this community is now dispersing further. I’m unable to help doing it to keep it going alive because I do not have enough deaf exposure from outside.

Back to the topic – my solo break…
Now, I’m on my own. I’m thinking of how I shall move on…
It’s really hard to start it all over again since I left XTOMIC. I need to build up my local & overseas network. Also, I have to do something to market myself and my skills. Not only these but there are more to go.

I really need support from some people around me. Need advices… guidances… Oh my goodness, I can’t help worrying! What to do…?

My Solo Break 11 March 2007

Just now, I performed my solo items at the NUS University Cultural Centre.
- Radetsky March in Marimba (Percussion)
- Listen by Beyonce in Song-signing

Guess that I did my very best! Therefore, my solo break has been achieved and I will continue to keep it up.

So, I’m truly grateful to Mr. Christopher Yeow for being very patient with me, to XTOMIC for being supportive, to Canossian School for lending me the marimba with no conditions, to Garrick for being the “No. 1 Fan” (imitating Ella’s acting style in Hana Kimi) and lastly, to Alex for guiding me during the two practices. :)
