2 weeks passed…
Can manage to cope with work here. Also, I have no problems managing my time for my part-time works and music studies.

Being an administrative assistant is quite sianz. The scope is too easy for me… Only filing, getting files and writing simple letters for secretaries. I will give myself some time to confirm this scope. Perhaps, I will ask some secretaries who take care of me, when I’m ready to learn other new things.

Hmmm, this ECSF has 110 staff, up to this date. This company is still recruiting some people. Right now, there are 6 People with Disabilities (PWDs). 5 Deaf and 1 Physically-handicapped. We are in different departments. Me, in Chemical Life Science…
Often, I lunch out with deaf colleagues and others who know a little of sign language. These few hearing colleagues are nice. They are taught by one of my deaf colleagues, Jessica. Most of the times, they finger-spell what they wanna tell us.

Last Friday, we got a small party to release ourselves from work. At this party, there was a DVD-video “Mind Your Language”. Also, there were some food and a small cake to celebrate June babes’ birthdays.
I left halfway with my colleague, Sandra, rushing home. Not staying longer for the quiz. There’s no point staying because there’s no sign language interpretation as said by my colleague.

Now, I’m thinking of asking the general manager who is in charge of administration, to give some staff sign language course. I still do not know if this is feasible. Again, I’m new here. I need more time to observe this working environment.
